British Bloggers Top 10 Favourite Nail Polishes

On Friday British Bloggers partook in your top 10 favourite nail polishes. I'm a little seeing as it's Saturday, I was going to do it on Friday after work but I was so tired I forgot *embarrassed* so here are my top 10 favourites:

My favourite so much that I used 1/4 of a bottle in the first month on 2 separate manicures:

Barry Ms Summer Limited Edition Green.

My second two come as sort of a pair.

Galahad from A England, I love this beautiful teal like blue but doubly when paired with favourite no 2 ;)

A England Morgan Le Flay a beautiful shimmer polish fantastic for layering over an array of colours but my favourite is when it's teamed with Galahad like below.

Max Factor Fantasy Fire, I adore this for layering over blacks, dark blues purples even tested over a lilac once. So many combinations but black has the best stand out factor.

Another A England, there are just so many pretties but none like Dragon, a perfect smooth forest like green with scattered holo.

One of my first indie brands given in a swap Daring Digits Hufflepuff. This was lovely but also my house is Hufflepuff so it gets special mentions ;)

China Glaze Stella one of my absolute favourites I was given in a swap which I'm really glad about because I'd never got this for myself and would have missed out.

OPI German-icure. I just love dark vampy autumn colours.

Barry M Greenberry (covered in glitter) perfect summer green. My favourite colours for polish is green so I have a lot.

Another Barry M Limited polish from Christmas 2012 in pink (covered in glitter), this was a nice foil, easy to apply and just a perfect fairy pink colour.

I hope you enjoy my top 10, when you have so many to choose from it's a hard decision but these are 10 I apply again and again. Sorry for the old mani pics type was not of the essence.

Enjoy! x

Froggy Franken Green

Today I have another little franken I mixed, a mix of Barry M Spring Green, Blue Moon and Morgan Le Fay from A England to lighten and shimmer it into a Froggy shade of green and I love it!! This is my favourite of my 6 frankens all coming up. It required 3 coats and as you can see still some VNL in direct sunlight but I actually like it that way, it's not overly noticeable.

Please ignore the matress marks on my little finger, I took these this morning because we had a lovely hot sunny day in little rainy Britain!!

Last nights pictures before stupid sleep marks indoors in artificial lighting :)

Pretty no?? I have been bit by the franken bug and am hoping in the next few months to have a go at some franken from scratch, keep a look out for those. I have already decided and thought up exactly what I want to mix together and the theme is Carnivals lol :D

My first mini frankens

I ordered a pack of 10 mini bottles online so I could have a go at frankening. (Which I hope to expand to my own if I can get my hands on suspension base.. any ideas?)

First up the one I am wearing now, I mixed with Barry M Pink Glitter and A England for some shimmery goodness, a bit of NO 7 Pink chiffon for lightness and then dropped in some China Glaze Stella as the main purple colour and I love Stella.

Here is how it came out:

and these are others I made, the purple above, a light jelly blue (well I hope) with Barry M Blueberry Ice cream, A England Morgan Le fay, and silver fine glitter and a Jade shimmery green which I used Barry M Blue Moon, A England Morgan Le Fay and Barry M Spring Green.

I'll be swatching these other 2 over the next days.

A England Iseult + Barry M Pink Iridescent

I don't normally wear the paler soft colours but it seems I've worn various pinks all week, I normally prefer bright bold colours but this one I do like. I wore A Englands Iseult along with Barry M Pink Iridescent and it is a beautifully soft manicure that looks like fairy dust.

A England applies wonderfully but it is pale and sheer, I did 3 thin coats and you can still see VNL a little. Barry M Pink Iridescent I added 2 coats off on top, it's very princess like, such a pretty one.

After all this pink I'm going to need something BRIGHT next ;) heh

A England - Saint George

Hello all!! Wow a week since I last posted, so sorry but I just got myself a new laptop with Windows 8 so I had just been playing around with the new features and getting used to everything but here I am back with my last A England from the sale. I have worn this for the full week, lasted supremely well.

This is of course one of my top wishlists Saint George the luscious dark forest green holo.

As usual the formula is perfect, smooth application with no streaks and a good one coater although I applied 2 as always :)

I just love these polishes!

A England - Order of the Garter

Todays polish is oh my.. one of the best blues imo, A England's Order of the Garter.
This one for me was quite sheer for the first coat and a bit streaky when applied but by the second coat it had evened up nicely. I did 3 coats for good measure.

OOTG is a spectacular deep blue with pretty glass flecks through out. Sublime, this had been a wish of mine for a while.

Do you have a favourite A England? It's hard to choose but I think Galahad and Saint George are mine ;)

A England - Princess Tears

Finally my purchase second purchase from the A England sale arrived yesterday! They are so beautiful, all 3 of them! I decided to try out Princess Tears first and I love it.

Princess Tears is a lovely silver/lilac mauve colour with a pretty holographic effect, you can't go wrong with holo's they are so pretty.

This applies beautifully and is fully opauqe in two coats, I can't fault the application. Another great A England   in my collection.

A England - Dragon

Today I have a polish that has been on my wishlist for so long, and a gorgeous green! Yes sorry I realise it's another green but it's A England Dragon! A England had a fantastic £6 sale to celebrate their second anniversary and although I wasn't meant to be getting any polish this month I could not resist Dragon nor Saint George, Order of the Garter and Princess Tears that came along with it ;)

Dragon is.. what can I say, perfection. Glides on like butter and is opaque in one coat which the picture spam below shows. It is a lovely mossy green I'd say, and a lovely scattered holo (I believe is the right term) which I tried to get but England is not very kind with the sun lol

I can't fault A England, I love these polishes and colours and my collection is steadily growing :3
