Nails Inc - Sugar House Lane

This is my second from my collection of the Nails Inc Sprinkles. Missing Pudding Lane but I am adoring these cute polishes, I will definitely add that to my list some day!

Sugar House Lane is a lovely creamy brown full of black and silver mattefied glitter, allows you to wear a full on glitter mani without sparkling like a Christmas tree not that I mind that I love my glitters ;3

As with all glitters this was not the most fun and easy to remove even with my little magic pot of Borjouis it took a good 40 minutes around to remove Sweets Way but it was a little easier than the foil or scrubbing method at least. Still it's not enough to put me off as these are such cute pretty polishes :3

Enjoy! x

The Crumpet: The "It's MY Birthday" British Giveaway !!!

Check out the amazing birthday giveaway by The Crumpet over at her blog!

The Crumpet: The "It's MY Birthday" British Giveaway !!!: Hi Goddesses It's my birthday this week, and I wanted to celebrate with a Giveaway.  The blog is approaching some major milestones,...

Best of British 26/8/12

The weather in the UK may have improved a little but not enough for Vic to justify running off to Cornwall to catch the surf. Instead she's made do with her Surfin' USA mani.

It's been KBShimmer Week this week at The Crumpet 5 polishes, but which was her favourite ?

Laura has been trying out stamping for the first time this week and was particularly fond of her classyblack and silver floral design.

PrettyKittyClaws has been making the most of the sunshine by copying The Crumpet with a Red Holo Dotticure. feautring Ozotics 518

Helly at the Nail Newbie got her holo on with a purple holo gradient featuring OPI DS Original!

Charlotte at Charlottes-nails has been catching up with the lazy days of summer challenge with a ruffle accent nail.

Alexis at Glitter Tips managed to overcome a nasty case of nail art block with a Black and Gold NOTD inspired by her jewellery collection.

Claire at nuthin' but a nail thing managed to get hold of some OPI Black Spotted and gave it a go over some bright NEONS.

Seeing as the British weather has been seasonably rainy, there has been a lack of barbaques this year. Unless it is in the form of nail art from Enigmatic Rambles.

Lou entered the Golden Jungle over at Painted Nails & Baking Scales finding some new polish species to describe

This week at Northern Nails there are Turtles in a Guest Post , Also Jo has started a new series of posts called Mashups!

Emma's been busy swatching the newBarry M Burgundy Croc Effects over different colours on Imagination In Colour!

It's texture time in the BFF Challenge and Kerrie from PishPosh and Polish made great use of Heart-Shaped beads but was it a success?

Ruth had some fun with pastel colours and created some colourful zebra nails using her new stampers!

Steph is showing off. Peacock feathers in the (rare) sunshine.

It's been a special week for Allie and in celebration she's been wearing some Sea Green Glitter Birthday Nails.

Dimpal is absolutely loving these fish egg nails Fish Egg Nails she also did Nicole's Me+Blue Mani

Sarah Louise reviews LeaLaC's Stamping Plate XL - A See the post for swatches and a manicure using her first Bettina Nail Polish.

Sam at Polished Art kicked off the 31 Day Challenge with a red leopard print mani.

Kerry starts the first off Nail Inc Sprinkle swatches with Sweets Way.

Nails Inc - Sweets Way

Finally as you know the sprinkles are finally mine. I've wanted Sweets Way since they were first realeased and after seeing the 3 set on QVC for the great price of £23.61 inc p+p I had to have them!

Obviousley the first I'd try would be Sweets Way and I simply love it. It's so cute and it really does remind me of the topping of fairy cakes I love making :3

Sweets Way is a milky white base packed with light blue, pink and white glitter. The application of this was pretty simple, I applied it like any other polish and it's quite oppaque in 2 coats.

I can see this being worn a lot, it's so cute and there's more to do with it then just a full coverage. Accent nail or a nice french tip maybe? ;)

Have you got any of the sprinkles yet? Which one is your favourite? I'm missing Pudding Lane as it's my least favourite.
Enjoy! x

Nails Inc - Victoria

I have this picture today which really isn't that good, I had taken it at 6am in the morning my eyes were probably very unfocused lol This is what I wore on Saturday for my sister's wedding :3

Base we have Nails Inc Victoria, 3 coats. This wasn't my favourite polish ever I found it really difficult to get an even mani. I swiped Barry M Silver multi glitter across the tips, it's a really beautiful polish.

Sorry for the terrible photo, there wasn't much spare time to be getting good light and pictures lol and then it had chipped sometime during the evening, Boo!!

It was a fun, cute mani to do anyhow.

This week is going to be all about my 3 Nails Inc sprinkles, so watch out for that. I'm keen to see how they are going to be for removing!

Enjoy! x

Nails Inc- The Sprinkles Collection

So exciting to say I finally have 3 of the Nails Inc Sprinkles. QVC recently had the pack of 3 for a total of £23.61 inc P+P. In the pack were Sugar House Lane, Topping Lane and Sweets Way, out of the 4 these are my preffered 3 as I am not the fondest of Pudding Lane which is the blue one.

How cute are these, I have bottle pics so far. I have had no time to change my nails this week due to sewing up over a dozen roses for a wedding box. I will begin swatching these next week :3

Up first Sweets Way my absolute fave of the sprinkles. A milky white base full of pink, blue and white glitter.

Sugar House Lane a lovely milky brown full of black and white 'sprinkles'.

and Topping Lane an awesome pink base full of magenta, purple and white 'sprinkles'.

Awesome yes? Have you gotten any of these sprinkles? What's your favourite?

See you after the wedding for sprinkles of swatches :D

Enjoy! x

A England - Tristam

I've actually been wearing this for a few days but haven't had any time to make a post on it as i've been sewing from morning to night to finish a wedding post box design for Saturdays wedding for my sister!
On to the polish. This is A England Tristam a beautiful deep blue scattered holo and it's a dream, I love it, it was easy to apply, was evenly oppaque in 2 coats and I just love blues!
Sadly there was no sun but I tried it capture the holo part as best I could but you can just see how gorgeous this deep pure blue is.
I can't wait to add more of these polishes to my stash.
Do you own any A England, what's you favourite?

The Liebster Award!!

Hey guys, so recently I was tagged for the Liebster award by Robin Sparkles This has been my first award tag and partaking of these types of things. How exciting!!

2. They must also answer the 11 questions the 'tagger' has set for them.
3. They must create 11 more questions to ask bloggers they have decided to tag.

My Questions For The Tagged
1. What/who inspired you to start blogging about nail art and where do you get your inspiration for nail art from?
I got my inspiration from SpellBinding Nails to start my own blog. I'd been reading hers for a while and decided to make my own and join in with the other bloggers. :)
2. Do you blog about anything other than nail art and how long have you been blogging for?
I have not blogged about anything else yet, I made it primarily for nail posts but if anything beauty related really caught my eye I would probably post that too. I have only been blogging maybe 2 months.
3. What is the top thing on your "wish list" you would want if you could be given one thing for free today?
That is really hard! I hve stuff on my wishlist I have to hunt down as they're not availble to the UK but I'd have to go with O.P.I La Boheme, I eBayed it and boy that baby has a price tag!
4. Favourite nail art technique? (Water marbling, stamping, gradient etc.)
Hmm free hand techniques with sparkly stones, I love that. I've tried stamping but i'm not good at it, i'll keep trying just need to stop buying polish so I can grab a few Konad special polishes lol
5. What are your favourite 3 nail polish colours & brands at the moment?
3! that's cruel ;) From my stash Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream, A England Galahad & Morgan Le fay(together they are lovely). Brands definately Barry M cheap and awesome, A England and O.P.I.
6. What are your hobbies other than nail art blogging?
I love crafts but I have lacked them recently. I like to draw, paint, bear making and I am going to try my hand at Amigurumi.
7. What software do you use to edit your pictures before uploading them to your blog?
Umm I don't. Photobucket and pop those suckers up there :p
8. What software do you use to watermark your photos before uploading them to your blog?
Again I don't. I never knew how but I found it out so I will probably go back and do that now.
9. How often do you paint your nails and how do you keep them in tip-top condition?

I do them about every 3 days. I use O.P.I nail envy, it's the only that works to keep my nails from splitting and breaking everyday.
10. What is your favourite design you've blogged?
My Leopard nails :)
11. What is your favourite film and favourite book of all time?
Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows part 2. Book wise it's become a tie between Harry Potter series and Vampire Academy Last Sacrifice the last book of that series.
My questions for the tagged.
1. How many nail polishes are currently in your collection?
2. When did your polish addiction begin?
3. What is your biggest nail polish lemming at the moment?
4. Do you prefer summer brights or vampy darks?
5. Why did you start your nail polish blog?
6. Other than nail polish what beauty product can you not live without?

9. What is your best product for nail strengthening, growth?
10. What base and top coat do you use?
11. Do you keep any back ups of your polishes?
And finally I tag:
10. The Nail Art Hobby

Took me a while to complete this, i'm easily distracted. I've been googling amigurumi a lot and finding it quite intimidating but i'm still going to give it a shot. I really apologise to my taggee's if you've already been before :3

(If I accidently tagged you and you have more than 200 followers, I apologise. I tried really hard to make sure you were all under 200 but my connection has been awful lately and it's been a real pain checking everyones blogs so sorry about that!!)

A England- Guinevere

Getting through swatching my new A Englands. I have loved everyone so far and this is no different. The mesmorizing Guinevere. It's tough to choose between Guinevere and Galahad as my favourite A England creme they are both gorgeous in their own way.
A beautiful dusky mauve colour, I used 3 coats to even this out. Application was fine.

How pretty is this colour?

A England- Iseult

Todays post is for the beautifully delicate A England Iseult. How precious and light is she? It was a bit to light for my liking to wear alone but teamed with some pearls and fimo bows and it really came to life.
This was sheer, expected from the colour and I used 3 coats to even it all out. Didn't give enough time between them so got some bubbling.
I think this is a really cute style for a lighter polish  :3

A England: Galahad & Morgan Le Fay

Second in the line up of A England and the reason for me wanting them firstly is Galahad, gorgeous teal Galahad. This has definately become a favourite in my stash. Application was perfect and a one coater :3

But the main reason for my wanting Galahad was not complete without this perfect layering polish, Morgan Le Fay. I originally saw a swatch of these 2 layered and just had to have them and wow this is just so much prettier in person.
This is one coat layered over Galahad. It completely changes the colour of Galahad into a magical fair blue, I just love it. It's like a calm sea lit by sunlight :3

Perfect! This is my new favourite layering combo <3

Rhinestone Haul

Seems like it was ages ago since I ordered my haul of rhinestones, it has been over a month but everything finally crawled in. Olympic delays maybe? Ordering from Hong Kong has it's props, it's cheap and normally free postage but it does take a while which isn't anyones fault, it's expected. I was a little more impatient since I had no rhinestones to play with. So lets see what I got :3

First up from eBay, 3000 1.5mm rhinestones in this nifty little case which sadly some are very hard to open but i'd already heard that, I worry I'll break one of my weak nails so i'll get someone who doesn't mind to open them ;3

I bought mine from here for £1.28, a steal of a price!

12 different colours, they did take a while to get here, 4 weeks but they did come between the estimated date you get from eBay which is still fine by me.

Same seller I got a wheel of 2mm half pearls. I haven't used any pearls yet, so i'm looking forward to trying these out. These cost 99p, free postage.

I bought a mixed pearl wheel for 99p from this place.

I really like this wheel, it contains pearls mixed, flowers, some fimo and a few bows ;3 I'll definately grab a couple more of these mixed ones. This came the day before the other rhinestones so about 4 weeks as well.

The last rhinestones I bought are all from a different website here,
They have alot of good stuff for cheap prices, postage is really cheap as well :3
It took about 20-21 days to arrive, so not bad.

First up 3000 2mm rhinestones for 95p, yep 95p!

2mm heart rhinestones, it doesn't say how many are included but i'd say it's a 3000 set as well. £1.09.

Last I ordered a wheel of 2mm flowers, these are really cute :3

I also grabbed myself a mixed set of 100 canes for £3.99 including a fimo cutting blade which is definately a lot easier to use than other blades i've tried.
There was a good selection of fruit, flowers, animalsn, some hearts, bows even a few christmas and they only took 10 days to arrive so really good shipping.

These I grabbed in the UK for £2.80 but they don't have them up for sale anymore. They are gold and silver studs 1.5mm, searching them on eBay should bring them up :3
I'm looking forward to using these as well.

A England- Lady of the Lake

First up to be seen from my haul of A England is Lady of the Lake, the beautiful scattered holo and wow the picture doesn't do this one justice and there was no sun to really show her off but still she is beautiful and definately one of my favourites in my stash. I can see this one being worn quite abit :3

More A England swatches to come :3

Enjoy! x
