A England Iseult + Barry M Pink Iridescent

I don't normally wear the paler soft colours but it seems I've worn various pinks all week, I normally prefer bright bold colours but this one I do like. I wore A Englands Iseult along with Barry M Pink Iridescent and it is a beautifully soft manicure that looks like fairy dust.

A England applies wonderfully but it is pale and sheer, I did 3 thin coats and you can still see VNL a little. Barry M Pink Iridescent I added 2 coats off on top, it's very princess like, such a pretty one.

After all this pink I'm going to need something BRIGHT next ;) heh

OPI You're a Doll

Urgh I could have used better light for this one, my muted kitchen light has made this appear more mauve/brown like that it is ahh. Anyways I am excited for this one, I'm not a sheer polish type I like my big bold brights but I spotted this on tumblr and after an exhausting search I found it was from OPI's Toyland collection. This is You're a Doll which is a pale pinkish with red flecks running through it, you can just about see them heh

This took 4 coats to obtain opaquness but it was a dream to apply, the brush and polish made application as smooth as butter. I am going to try it under a base next time so not so many coats.

Nail Challenge - Sweets

I have joined a nail art challenge group on facebook She who does nail art and the first challenge was sweets, the first thing that popped into my head were peppermint swirls as it was something I've wanted to do before so I though perfect! I changed the colours so there not so christmassy to pink and so I could use my pink Barry M nail art pen plus a darker pink 2 in 1 nail art pen I got from eBay.

A challenge it definitely was phew! I did find them pretty tough especially on my right hand, still need the most practice with left hand work.

I used 2 coats of Barry M white as my base then planted a pink dot in the middle as my starting point and drew out the light pink swirls and coloured them in, when they were dry (very fast drying time) I did the same with the dark pink pen. I added 2 coats of Barry M Pink Iridescent as it's a good cover over to mask any wobbliness and mess hehe then planted a rhinestone in the centre and I have to say as hard as they were I am proud of them, they were a challenge but they are good to me :)

How do you store your polish? New British Blogger Question

I've been meaning to get pics of my stash for some days and have finally got around to it, I recently reorganized my messy drawer to a tidier bunch. I only have one drawer for my polish but my nail art stuff take up much more space. Although it's pretty full now I'll need to find new ways of staring them :/

On to the show yes?

Firstly I store all my polish in my one bedside drawer, all my opi minis and one nails inc one I've had a while at the back so they can be stood up, I hate to have them all lying down around the place.

I like collecting these mini sets lol I have grabbed Alice in Wonderland and gotten Shrek, Pirates of the Caribbean and OPI Spookettes as gifts plus a cute Nails Inc Paint a Rainbow set, very summery that one :3

and here is my quaint little stash all line up by brand, you'll notice 5 bottles missing from the Barry M line, they are in my unused area. I've lined them up by type and bottle lid, next is my Nails Inc, China Glaze, A England, above China Glaze are my few NFU. OH, and then all the brands that have a few to them, Accessorize, Butter London, NO 7, Avon and some others, my only indies are at the back which are called Daring Digits I got from a swap, one being HufflePuff oh yeah!

I have a few plastic tubs large and small for my nail art stuff, I got these packs from the pound store, one large and 2 small packed inside, perfect for nail art bits.

My first big tub has all my 2 way nail art pens from eBay.  I got a pack of 24 and they all fit perfectly although I've rarely used many of them but black and white.

Large tub 2 holds my array of rhinestones, 3 tubs (I find them really hard to open lol) and 5 wheels of various like pearls, hearts, stars etc.

I have 3 smaller tubs that hold a lot of fimo canes, possibly close to 200 :O

Stamping plates (that I haven't managed yet, need to practice these again)

Glitters and striping tape.

The rest of my stuff are held in these PJ Tips tins I kept (perfect for holding all my nail stickers, flocking powder, and what dotting tools I haven't lost yet, nail wheels) and I shall be keeping the second for my not yet arrived Acrylic paints and brushes for art :)

All my nail art stuff is kept at the back of my wardrobe as I don't have a lot of storage space.

Now I keep my untrieds in this random sweet tin from Christmas, it's the perfect height to store any nail polishes I haven't used yet and want to keep aside so there not forgotten about along with my nail envy and rapidrops.

And of course a big stash of hand creams to keep those hands taken well care off! These were accumilated just from Christmas lol 5 mini ones for hand bag, 2 sets of L'Occitane (these are my favourite) I always get the Limited Edition sets they bring around Christmas and my tub saved from a Christmas present to hold my larger bottles, 4 100ml Avons, a Rasberry one and 2 huge 250ml bottles in Gingerbread and Cinnamon yum! I love my hand creams :P

And underneath the polish drawer a small selection of polishes I don't care for once tried and don't want taking up space but can't bear to just throw out lol

I know this was a long post so I hope you didn't get bored to much heh

Avon - Mosaic Mica

I have here another one of my recent Avon shatter purchases. This one is Mosaic Mica, a glittery silver shatter. I've teamed this up with Barry M Raspberry that has been sat in my stash unused for months. Raspberry applies lovely and is opaque in 2 good coats. I applied the shatter thinly and the effect happens pretty instant. I really do love the shimmery shatters from Avon and I still have 2 others a blue and pink I have still to use.

Braided Nail Art with Barry M Nail Art Pens

Today's post is a some nail art I spend a good time doing, I haven't done a lot of nail art but lines and dots and what better opportunity than with Barry M's new Nail pens? I went to Superdrugs and got the white, pink and black on 3 for 2, I love them so much I might get another black and white with the silver to make sure I always have plenty, no telling how long they'll last ;)

They are really easy to use basically like a sharpie pen, first of all you need to give them a good shake and pump down on the nib till the paint flows, you'll see it seeping through and it will look just like a coloured permanent marker. Much easier than the 2 way pens all over eBay I found for sure, a lot easier to grip and draw with just make sure the base is completely dry or the nib will drag through the polish!

Here is what I accomplished, I used Barry M Greenberry as my base colour then used the white to create the whole braid on my nails and filled the parts in alternatively with pink and the white leaving some green. I have to say I'm impressed, my right hand is no where near as good, not dreadful just not great, still need a lot of left hand practice :3

Barry M Foil Tape Art

I haven't really been doing much art these days and I really wanted to do something with what I have, I'm determined to get some Acrylic paints to do proper art as I hear there much better than using your polishes.
I decided to do some tape art using my Barry M foils silver and gold. I've had this idea for a while and just never got around to it.

So here it is, 1 good coat of gold foil on each nail and silver on my ring finger. I love using these foils, they are beautiful, they apply great and one coat is all you need. I used a roll of nail striping tape to make all the stripe patterns and painted over in the contrasting foil, peeled the tape away and voila!
